This project involved building 14 steps in conjunction with a mono-wall to protect a loose critical edge as well as building a stone wall to redefine the turn. The new build creates space for multiple users, redefines the trail, and re-stabilizes the hillside that had become eroded. A crew of three completed this project in 12 weeks using pick mattocks, shovels, McLeods, rock bars, Griphoist, rock drills, feathers, wedges, chisels, shaping hammers, and expansion bolts. Work was completed for the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks in Boulder, CO.
